Mayes Middleton represents Senate District 11 in the Texas Senate and won the May 2026 Republican runoff for Texas Attorney General. He previously served two terms in the Texas House, where he chaired the Texas House Freedom Caucus. He is president of Middleton Oil Company and also runs ranching and farming operations.
